Much like a pizza, but even better.  Destined to be a general favorite with its spicy seasonings and delicious sauce.

Sounds promising and actually appetizing.


Pastry for 8” one-crust pie

1 cup sifted flour

½ tsp. salt

1/3 cup lard (butter or Crisco)

2 T. water

Mix flour and salt.  Cut in the shortening until mixture looks like course meal.  Sprinkle with water,; mix with fork.  Round into ball.  Roll dough 1” larger than inverted pie pan.  Ease into pan, fill and flute edge.


4 eggs

¼ cup milk

½ cup moist, diced salami

½ cup diced pepperoni

½ lb. mozzarella cheese, grated

¼ tsp. pepper

½ tsp. each basil and oregano

Heat oven to 425F.  Beat eggs and milk together.  Add remaining ingredients and mix well.  Pour into prepared crust.  Bake 35 to 40 minutes, or until lightly browned.  Serve with Tomato Sauce, if desired.

Tomato Sauce

1 T. butter, melted

2 T. chopped onion

2 T. chopped green pepper

8 oz. can tomato sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

Saute onion and green pepper in melted butter until onion is transparent.  Add rest of ingredients and heat over low flame.

Feast-a-Pie (Hamburger Variation)

Follow recipe above except use ½ lb. ground beef chuck (1 cup cooked) in place of salami and pepperoni.  Brown meat in small amount of shortening.  Add ½ tsp. salt with the seasonings.
