Butter Rum Brownies

Brownies.

Butter.

Rum.

How can this not be a hit?

Butter-Rum Brownies

½ stick butter or margarine

1 cup well packed brown sugar

1 egg

1 tbsp. rum

½ cup flour

1 tsp. baking powder

½ tsp. salt

½ cup chopped chunky walnuts

Melt butter in saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar. Beat in egg. Add rum, flour, baking powder, salt, an walnuts. Pour into greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. (Do not overcook; the brownies should be a little gummy.) Makes two dozen.
