Wine Drop Cookies

I had no idea what a “Wine Drop Cookie” was. At first I was like “ooooo, these must be made using wine!” But alas, no wine. So I thought maybe they would go well with wine, kind of a tea cake like deal. Nope. Only explanation I could find was by someone who knew her grandmother had made them. They are called wine drop cookies because they are “so rich and good”. Ok.

Think of these as an easier version of molasses cookies. The batter is much simpler to make, as it is a dump and mix style batter.
