Puzzle Pudding

Here is another recipe that looks like it came from someone’s school days.  The cursive writing is fresh, as in “teacher is standing over me so this better be really neat” type fresh.  Why it is called puzzle pudding is puzzling to me. Har Har.  It is possible that it resembles puzzle pieces of sorts when you scatter the brown sugar and nuts on before baking.  Either way, it sounds tasty and is another of those great written recipes I like to share with everyone.

1 egg

1 1/4 cups flour

1 tsp. salt

Beat egg good.  Add all dry ingredients and a no. 2 can of fruit cocktail with the juice.  Pour into pan.  Sprinkle with brown sugar and nuts.*

*Temperature and length are not given in the recipe.  I would try 350F for 20-25 minutes, and start looking for the set of the pudding from there.
